With educational and informative details about the early days of mountaineering, you’ll get to know the story of this alpine adventure and the heroes that took on the Imperial Crown mountain range.
Seven stations on the new educational path will teach you about the mountaineering history of the five 4,000m peaks located in Anniviers.
Thanks to the research and knowledge of Jean-Louis Claude, the story of how the five Imperial Crown peaks were conquered (Weisshorn – 4,506m, Zinalrothorn – 4,221m, Obergabelhorn – 4,073m, Matterhorn – 4,478m and Dent Blanche – 4,357m) will leave no stone unturned.
The education trail in Sorebois is open to all members of the public and is particularly suited to families. Inquisitive minds and those with a thirst for knowledge will love the trail in a breathtaking setting in the heart of the Grimentz-Zinal area at 2,240m.
After finishing the trail, stop off at the nearby Restaurant de Sorebois for a well-deserved bite to eat!
