A tour following in the footsteps of Edmond Bille in Chandolin to rediscover the places photographed by the painter nearly a century ago.
Follow in the footsteps of Edmond Bille through the village of Chandolin and rediscover his historic photographs, taken in the same locations, mirrored against the landscape of today. For nearly forty years, the artist immortalised village life. This permanent tour now invites you to rediscover these moments as you stroll along.
In Chandolin, Edmond Bille's legacy is also revealed in the four stained-glass windows that adorn the church (1931) and in the chalet he had built in 1906 near Calvaire, which offers a breathtaking view of the village and the Alpine peaks.
