Inauguration of Edmond Bille's photo trail

Chandolin

Discover Edmond Bille's new photo trail in Chandolin on a special guided tour organised for its inauguration.

Take a stroll in the footsteps of Edmond Bille through the village of Chandolin and discover Edmond Bille's historic photos, displayed alongside views of the same locations today, in the very places where they were taken. For nearly 40 years, the artist immortalised scenes from village life. A permanent trail now allows you to rediscover them as you stroll around.
In Chandolin, you can also admire four of the artist's stained-glass windows in the church (1931), as well as the chalet he had built in 1906 near Calvaire, with a magnificent view of the village and the Alpine peaks.

2pm | Meet in front of the Chandolin Tourist Office

3.45pm | Talk at the community hall: ‘Edmond Bille, ethnologist and sociologist’ by Olivier Grandjean, member of the Edmond Bille Association committee.
