This 5-hour hike offers a beautiful view of the Zinal glacier. The route skillfully alternates between forest passages, pastures, and scree slopes until reaching the Grand Mountet hut. Located in the heart of the Imperial Crown, the Grand Mountet hut is the starting point for various ascents.

| Useful information | Follow the Navisence along either bank, then take the small forest road climbing to the right at the bottom of the Plats de la Lée. After about 30 minutes, turn left towards the bridge crossing the Navisence. From there, take the path on the right which climbs in zigzags above the moraine and continues on the Besso slope with a beautiful view of the Zinal glacier. After crossing a footbridge and a passage equipped with ropes and chains, there is still a long nearly flat scree before reaching the hut. |
