Useful information

From the upper station of the Tsapé chairlift, follow the path that easily leads to the Pas de l’Illsee, which marks the border between Valais Romand and Upper Valais. Then descend towards the lakes. You will first pass the Wäschtsee, then the small alpine pasture bordering the Illsee, an artificial lake. The path runs along the edge of the dam to lead to a small lake with crystal clear waters and an island. A short climb finally leads to the Lac Noir, where children enjoy playing by the water, and older ones fishing trout (permit required). Tsapé is now only about 15 minutes' walk away.
