Useful information | From the upper station of the Tsapé chairlift, follow the path that easily leads to the Pas de l'Illsee, which marks the limit between the French-speaking and the Upper Valais. From there, start descending towards the lakes. You first pass by the Wäschtsee, then by the small alpine pasture which borders the Illsee, an artificial lake. The path runs along the edge of the dam to a small crystal clear lake with an island. A short climb leads to the Black Lake, where children like to play by the water and older children like to fish for trout (permit required). The Tsapé is only about a 15 minute walk away. |
