Chandolin - Illgraben and Ponchet no. 13

The Illgraben is a gigantic rocky amphitheater overlooking the Rhone valley. It is the result of the collapse of the Illgraben mountain in the 14th century due to erosion. It is also one of the most active debris flow channels in the Swiss Alps: flows can be observed several times a year.

OUR ADVICE
Warning: dizzying viewpoint at the edge of the Illgraben.
