Useful information

From the parking lot, head back up the road that passes in front of the Auberge Alpina. Take the Tracuit Road (REKA), which begins on the right after the Auberge Alpina, and follow it to the start of the trail to the Tracuit Hut. After the mountain pasture, upstream from the waterfall, stay on the trail on the right that crosses the stream. Pass behind the Roc de la Vache (view of Zinal and the valley floor), then descend to Lake Arpitettaz. From there, follow the path downhill, cross two bridges, and join the path on the right that leads to Les Plats de la Lée and Zinal.
Alternative Route 1
Complete the loop in the opposite direction. Cross Les Plats de la Lée and take the trail leading to Lake Arpitettaz (4 hours 30 minutes—moderate).
Alternative Route 2
Warning: The Pas du Chasseurshortcut , located at the far end of the Plats de la Lée upstream from the right bank of the Navisence, is not recommended for people who are prone to vertigo, those accompanied by children, or those walking with a dog. The Pas du Chasseur is a small cliff equipped with chains that requires the necessary skills (1 hr 20 min – difficult).
