Walk across the top of the dam and take the little road that goes up towards the alpine pasture known as the Alpage de Torrent. Follow the waymarking for the Chemin 2500. Shortly after the fork, the splendid Lac du Louché comes into view. The walk continues along a pleasant path, with a few short sections that go uphill or downhill. From the charming little Lac de la Bayenna, the path heads back down towards the Moiry glacier car park. Walk back up up along the right-hand side of the lake to an altitude of 2500m. The path goes though pastures and crosses several gullies mad by streams, ending with a descent to the restaurant at Moiry. This route can be walked in the opposite direction.
From late June to early September: you can stop half-way along at the Moiry glacier car park and take the bus back to the dam.
