Follow the Navisence along either bank, then take the small forest road that climbs to the right at the back of the Plats de la Lée. Leave the path that leads to the Petit Mountet Hut to go down to the left and cross the bridge. Take the path on the right and cross a second bridge. Then follow the path around Lake Arpitettaz and continue to the Arpitettaz Hut with a beautiful view of the glaciers and peaks.
Variant 1
The shortcut Pas du Chasseur, located at the back of the Plats de la Lée upstream of the right bank of the Navisence, is not recommended for people prone to vertigo, accompanied by children or walking with a dog. Pas du Chasseur is a small cliff equipped with chains requiring necessary skills (1h20 - difficult)
Variant 2
To reach the Tracuit Hut via the Milon Pass, take the path that starts to the right downstream of the Arpitettaz Hut and follow it to the Pass (1h). Then the very steep path, equipped with chains (north-facing side often icy or wet), descends to a large scree. Check path conditions (3h - difficult).
