Grimentz - Mayoux par le Grand Bisse n°2

Follow the surfaced road that goes down to the left between the apartment buildings. From the Chapelle du Trontsec, take the track to the river (the small wooden bridge is closed). Walk up to the cantonal road and follow this road towards Zinal for 200 metres before turning left onto the waymarked path that goes down alongside the river Gougra. Cross the concrete bridge and take the Chemin du Grand Bisse towards St-Jean. At Les Fios, the path becomes narrower. About 2km further on, cross the cantonal road and then continue on the pretty path through the wood as far as St-Jean d’en Haut (passing in front of the Gîte de St-Jean). The path then winds along to the La Puchottaz waterfall at Mayoux.

Return via the Chemin de la Puchottaz as far as St-Jean (1h).

Return to Grimentz by bus.
