St-Luc : Rando Parc / Pluton

This is for those with plenty of ski touring experience: it has almost 1400m of ascents, spread over a route of around 10km, making it the most demanding of all the ski-touring itineraries. The slopes are sometimes steep, sometimes gentle, and the route has its share of surprises, including the lakes (Combavert, Armina, Bella Tola) and the Meidpass, which is close to the route. And finally, the highlight: arriving at the summit of Bella Tola, at an altitude of over 3000 metres, and enjoying the amazing panoramic view.

OUR ADVICE
Good levels of physical fitness and skiing skills are needed to undertake this route.

Useful information

The first part of the itinerary runs along the torrent Roua (attention: small part of technical carrying). This tough climb leads to the Chalet Blanc du Toûno. From there, the route slopes more gently towards the Meidpass . Keep following the waymarking for the summit of Bella Tola, which takes you up via the Col du Pas de Boeuf. For the final ascent, remove your skis and make your way up over the rocks, holding on to the safety ropes.

Although this route requires a degree of physical fitness, it is well worth doing for the succession of beautiful unspoiled landscapes along its entire length. Note: this route is shared by downhill and touring skiers, please be courteous to other users.
