Discover Chandolin and its stunning landscapes on a half-day hike.
Chandolin, an authentic mountain village perched at almost 2,000 m, was once a peaceful retreat for Swiss explorer and writer Ella Maillart, who found refuge and inspiration here. This is where our circular hike begins, taking you through this unspoilt corner of the Val d’Anniviers.
We will walk through a beautiful forest of larch and Swiss stone pine before reaching one of the valley’s most fascinating geological sites. From there, we will make our way back to Chandolin, completing the loop.
Your hiking guide will lead you at a relaxed pace, allowing plenty of time for conversation and stories about the area’s geology, botany and local heritage.
