Élisabeth Thorens-Gaud, creator of a podcast dedicated to Miette de Saussure, and Carinne Bertola, author of a book about Ella Maillart, have joined forces to bring two pioneering women of navigation back to life.

Together with illustrator Dora Formica and filmmakers Charlotte Curchod and Laurent Schaer, they present a unique multimedia experience combining sound, illustrations, moving images and archival material, immersing audiences in the maritime world of Ella and Miette.

Drawing on the rich correspondence between Miette and Ella, enhanced by personal accounts and brought to life through a sensitive and poetic sound design, this immersive journey celebrates the boldness of two women who, in the 1920s, dared to challenge convention in pursuit of their dreams. Their friendship, freedom and courage continue to resonate today and inspire women around the world.
