12 August Solar Eclipse at the FXB Observatory

Witness a rare eclipse covering more than 90% of the Sun from the François-Xavier Bagnoud Observatory and enjoy the event safely with our solar-filtered telescopes.

Experience a spectacular eclipse in Saint-Luc on August 12th!
At 8:30 PM, the Moon will obscure more than 90% of the Sun. This exceptional event will take place while the Sun is already very low on the horizon.
To fully enjoy the spectacle, you need a perfectly clear view of the horizon—and the François-Xavier Bagnoud Observatory is the ideal spot!

Program

- 6:00 PM / 6:15 PM / 6:30 PM / 6:45 PM / 7:00 PM: Funicular ascent
- From 6:30 PM: Meal at Tignousa (registration required) – until 8:30 PM
- 7:26 PM: Eclipse begins
- 8:50 PM: Sunset
- 8:45 PM / 9:00 PM / 9:30 PM: Funicular descent
