"Essaimons-nous" : Feature Film at the Tour d’Anniviers

"Essaimons-nous" is the result of an inspiring collective adventure that took root among farming communities in the Franche-Comté region of France.

Following a group of market gardeners who, through their farming practices, seek to spark a movement of resistance against the overwhelming power of industrial agriculture, the film portrays a community in the midst of transformation. It highlights women and men whose daily struggle is driven by the pursuit of greater autonomy and food sovereignty.

Their initiatives, questions, doubts, and the challenges they face reflect the realities of any collective endeavour.

Their perseverance, creativity, and the strategies they develop to achieve their goals are both courageous and deeply inspiring.

Through a sensitive and visually poetic approach, “Essaimons-nous” gracefully combines observational documentary filmmaking with poetic cinema.
