Marie-Thérèse Chappaz
A biodynamic winemaker based in Fully, Marie-Thérèse Chappaz cultivates eleven hectares on the steep slopes of Valais, at altitudes reaching up to 900 metres. She converted the entire estate to biodynamics in 1997 and has worked ever since with minimal intervention, indigenous yeasts and an unwavering commitment to letting the terroir express itself. Named a « Swiss Wine Icon » by Gault&Millau and honoured as a « Lady of Wine » at the Villa d’Este Wine Symposium in 2015, she is internationally recognised for her Petite Arvine, Ermitage, Cornalin, Humagne Rouge and Grain Noble. Her Petite Arvine « Grain par Grain » notably received the maximum score of 100/100 from Robert Parker in 2023.
