Film Club: The Wild World of the Alps

Come discover the second screening of the Film Club of the Chandolin Grocery: "The Wild World of the Alps"

At the beginning of this spring, we invite you and your family to discover the remarkable diversity of wildlife in Anniviers through the film by René Pierre Bille (1915–2006), son of the painter Edmond Bille and brother of the writer Corinna Bille.

Passionate about fauna and flora, this "image hunter" frequently published in illustrated magazines of his time and contributed to numerous animal encyclopedias.

He received several awards, notably for his film "The Wild World of the Alps", which we invite you to watch on Saturday, April 11, at 6:30 pm at the Café de l’Épicerie in Chandolin. The film was shot in color in 1958, often in the Chandolin region, and is narrated by the filmmaker himself.

As is now our custom, the screening will be preceded by a short introduction by Olivier Grandjean and followed by a discussion with the audience. We will also close the evening with a small aperitif.
