100,000 Trillions of Trillions of Stars: The Secret Life of Our Cosmic Mothers
We can see only about 6,000 with the naked eye, yet their actual number is astronomical. Stars enchant our nights and seem to shine eternally—reliable guides for travelers and inspirations for poets since time immemorial. Yet behind this nocturnal wonder lies a relentless struggle against gravity, which pushes stars to their limits under extreme conditions. We will explore how these celestial bodies participate in the grand cycle of matter and how atoms forged in the furnace of their cores can find their way to a small hospitable planet and enable the emergence of life.
