Director of the moving Ma vie de courgette, Claude Barras returns eight years later with an ecological and poetic fable about the fight of an indigenous people against deforestation. A stunning animated film, conceived as a call to action, Sauvages will be screened in Vissoie as part of the Anni'Vert Festival 2025.

Synopsis
In Borneo, near the tropical rainforest, Kéria rescues a baby orangutan from the plantation where her father works. At the same time, her cousin Selaï comes to seek refuge with them, escaping the conflict between his nomadic family and the forestry companies. Together, Kéria, Selaï, and the baby monkey, named Oshi, will brave all obstacles to fight against the destruction of the forest.
