Let's follow in the footsteps of the famous Swiss adventurer and writer who tirelessly travelled the mountains, valleys and seas of the world, but always returned to Chandolin, her home base for 46 years. After her sometimes colourful explorations in faraway places, it was in this serene little village in the Val d'Anniviers that Ella Maillart would recharge her batteries. And it was here that she found the words to translate her experiences and the inspiration to set off again. ÉCHAPPÉES takes you on a journey through places and landscapes that echo her energy and her writings, through larch forests, majestic mountains and mountain pastures in infinite silence. The day will end with an aperitif at the Espace Ella Maillart, housed in the former Sainte Barbe chapel.
