Climbing wall /Vercorin

The Vercorin climbing area is well-known in the region and offers various levels of difficulty
Defy the law of gravity at Vercorin! Vercorin’s cliffs are at an altitude of around 1200 metres. They can be climbed from May to November and offer a varied choice of more than 60 routes divided into 5 separate sectors. The difficulty ratings range from 3 to 8, most routes being rated between 5 and 6. A 50-metre rope and a dozen quickdraws are sufficient to climb all the routes offered. The climbs use bolts and glue-in bolts and the belay points have carabiners to allow the use of top-ropes. The ordinary-looking limestone rock contains some beautiful surprises, and will provide further surprises through the variety of lines to be found there. There are plenty of routes that make the climbing area really worth visiting and spending time in. Access is easy, as it’s around ten minutes’ walk from the centre of the village. The very attractive sites are open to climbers from May to November. A topographic guide is available from the tourist office and on the internet at www.montagne evasion.ch/docs/topo_vercorin.pdf Happy climbing everyone!
