Village and Ella Maillart museum guided tour/ Chandolin

Get to know a village thanks to its inhabitants !
How would you like to explore the pivotal moments of the history of Chandolin ?

Visit of the old village and the Ella Maillart museum

Believed to be one of the highest continually occupied villages in Europe, Chandolin began to attract some illustrious guests very early in its history, and some of them decided to settle here. Would you like to know more ?

The communal oven, the Maison Bourgeoisiale and the Espace Ella Maillart are just a few examples of the village's rich built heritage.

Do you know the Glacier wine? It can only be tasted in the cellars of the Val d'Anniviers, drawn directly from the barrel.  It is possible to taste the Vin du Glacier during the visit of the Bourgeoisie.

Enjoy exploring the past and present stories of Chandolin in the company of a passionate local resident who really enjoys sharing her knowledge of village and valley with visitors.

Christiane Crettaz
A daughter of the village, she and her family have lived through some major changes as the resort was founded. Christiane Crettaz will tell you practically all there is to know about the beautiful village of Chandolin, while preserving its air of mystery.
