Latest guidelines and official information related to the health situation

Anniviers Tourism, the accommodation providers, the partners, the ski lifts and the various businesses in Anniviers are doing their utmost to welcome you, in accordance with the current guidelines.

We are all very much looking forward to seeing you again, and are working together, in a supportive and responsible manner, to welcome you to our beautiful valley!

Covid certificate extension

In view of the continuing tense situation in hospitals, the Federal Council has decided to extend the obligation to use the COVID certificate. It will have to be presented at the entrance to restaurants, cultural and leisure venues and indoor events. This concerns, for the Val d'Anniviers, the following infrastructures/activities:
  • Swimming pool of Zinal
  • Anniviers Indoor Park
  • Library of the School Center
  • Climbing in the hall of Grimentz
  • And all the events/activities planned indoors, notably in the communal halls

Covid certificate for tourists from third countries

Foreigners from third countries who have been vaccinated with Pfizer/BioNTech or Moderna can apply online on the current form, available since June, as follows :

1) Download the Confederation's "Covid Cert" application and from the Create transfer code application (Menu + at the bottom right of the screen), then option "Generate transfer Code".

2) Fill in the form at and follow the instructions. In particular:

    • Enter the address of the first hotel in Valais where they will be staying
    • If the person does not have a Swiss mobile phone, which is likely, answer "Yes" to the question asking to obtain a paper certificate by post (sent to the hotel address)
    • Answer "Yes" to the question asking to receive the code directly in the application and enter the code generated from the "Covid Cert" application (as the code is valid for 7 days, it is important to generate the code just before sending the form)

Coronavirus: Entering Switzerland

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic there are special rules for people entering Switzerland. Depending on the type of travel, you might have to fill out an entry form, show proof of a negative test and/or go into quarantine. Information

Tourist offices

It is compulsory to wear a face covering inside all Val d’Anniviers tourist offices.

Ski lifts/cable cars

  • Wearing a mask is compulsory in all queues AND respect of 1.5m between people. Masks are on sale at the ticket office (1 CHF/mask, 1 mask per ticket)
  • The facilities, toilets, restaurants and carriages are disinfected several times a day
  • Waiting areas outside the buildings in order to respect distances
  • Compulsory hand disinfection at the entrances to lifts and restaurants
  • Please observe the existing signage and staff instructions
  • The cabins as well as the funicular are limited to 2/3 of its capacity
  • At the cash desks :
  • Thank you for favouring contactless payment
  • Only 1 person per group at the counter
  • Terminals are regularly disinfected
  • In restaurants: only one group per table, contact for groups of more than 4 people
