Enjoy your holiday in Grimentz in the fresh air of our Valaisan mountains in our newly renovated and redesigned rooms. Sleep in our super comfortable boxspring beds that are part of all our cozy rooms. In each room a large illuminated photo represents an animal from the Anniviers fauna. Come and discover which animal will keep you company during your stay. All our rooms are furnished with pine, alder and larch woodwork, which give off the scent of our alpine forests. They are all equipped with a private bathroom, flat screen TV, radio, safe and hairdryer.
Restaurant
Chef Antoine Ménard, who has been in charge of the kitchen at the Restaurant de Moiry for 28 years, has built up a fine reputation for his creativity and artistic flair. Close to nature, he draws his inspiration from it. Alpine flowers, woodland mushrooms and forest berries can be found in his cooking, not forgetting fresh flowers and vegetables from the kitchen garden. The eye and the burst of flavours are guaranteed in the restaurant where the Chef likes to provoke his customers with the surprise effect. Thanks to the natural products, vegetarian guests will also find something to their liking.
In autumn, you can enjoy only fresh game from Anniviers (chamois, stag, roe deer and marmot) in the restaurant, which ranks among the best hunting restaurants in the Valais.
The owner, Aurel Salamin, offers the unique wood-fired raclette every evening in a real alpine atmosphere. He prepares the raclette with Anniviers cheese in the large fireplace, opposite the famous large fresco of queen fights.
