Guided tour of the village / Grimentz
Get to know a village through its people
Come and discover the old village of Grimentz.
Guided tour led by Paulon Massy.
Considered one of Switzerland’s most beautiful villages, Grimentz has been attracting tourists for a very long time; its Tourist Board was established back in 1930. The old village, with its ancient houses and granaries huddled around the church, will welcome you warmly and show you all it has to offer.
The Caves Blanches (White Cellars) and the Maison de Grand-maman (Grandma’s House) are just two examples of village’s rich architectural history. Have you heard of the Vin du Glacier (Glacier Wine)?
Enjoy exploring the past and present stories of Grimentz in the company of a passionate local resident who really enjoys sharing his knowledge of village and valley with visitors.
Paulon Massy
A son of the village, he and his family have seen many changes as it evolved from a transhumance village into the present-day resort with beds for some 6000 tourists. Paulon will tell you how the people of Grimentz used to live, and the traditions they faithfully keep alive to this day.
• Min. 4 pers. / Max. 20 pers.
