This loop trail takes you deep into the heart of the Zau Zoura Forest, above the village of Ayer. Along the way, you’ll discover a variety of landscapes: forests of larch, fir, and Swiss stone pine, as well as a clearing with a view of the Couronne Impériale, before finally returning to the village.
OUR ADVICE
We strongly recommend starting the loop in Ayer, heading toward Déjert, and then returning to Ayer via the hills above the village.

| Useful information | The starting point is the Qi Lin Chinese restaurant. Follow Ruelle du Petit-Chêne until you reach the square upstream from the church. Cross the square and follow the signs for the Zau Zoura educational trail to the highest point of the village. The trail then winds through the forest until it reaches a forest road. Turn right and continue to the end of this road, then take the path branching off to the right to reach the village of Ayer. |
