Grimentz/Bendolla to Moiry via the Basset de Lona Trail No. 16

From the gondola station, follow the Pas de Lona trail, which climbs southwest. The first
portion crosses pastures, then the trail ascends through rocky terrain to Lac de Lona (2,638 m). Stacked terraces, lakes, green pastures, and peaceful, winding streams can be seen throughout the Lona region. Once at Lac de Lona, it takes about 40 minutes to walk to Basset de Lona (heading southeast). Add another hour or so to reach the Moiry Dam. You can return to Grimentz by bus (from late June to mid-October).
