| Useful information | From the parking lot above the playground in Niouc, take the path that climbs up the curve until you reach the next road. Turn left toward the old landfill and walk for about 600 m, then take the trail that climbs to your right (the Sierre-Zinal race trail). Once you reach Beauregard Castle, continue the climb through Plan Palet. Don’t get discouraged—the rest of the route is just as challenging. At the Ponchet clearing—a pleasant, wooded alpine pasture that was recently restored—you can catch your breath. Continue on to Chandolin via Pramarin. |
