Follow the road downstream for about 50 meters, then take the staircase that leads down to the left, near the barn. Continue along this path to the bridge crossing the Navisence (currently inaccessible) and follow the fairly steep trail leading to the Morasses forest road. Follow the road to the right to the Morasses Chapel, and continue to the bridge crossing the Gougra.
Alternative Route 1
Continue along the path that descends alongside the Gougra to admire the Gougra Falls and the Gougré Oratory. Caution: Avoid parking near the stream due to the risk of flash floods. Return to Ayer by following the Navisence (1 hr 15 min – easy).
Alternative Route 2
Follow the forest road to the bridge, then take the road that climbs to the right above Mission until you reach the cantonal road. Continue to the right and take the dirt path that climbs upstream of the road to Ayer (50 minutes – easy).
