Pass by the Bella-Tola Hut (see Hike No. 19). Then cross the Tignousa ski lift and the Col des Ombrintzes ski lift. After winding throug
’s pastures and zigzagging up the mountainside, you’ll reach the mountain hut and the summit ridge; as you look away from the trail, you’ll see nothing but open space on both sides. The hike continues along the ridge trail to the left toward the Griolet Lighthouse, located
at the summit of the Rothorn, where the panorama offers a 360° view of all the visible peaks. Then retrace your steps to reach the “true”
, the Bella-Tola peak; the view stretches out to more than thirty peaks over 4,000 m.

Return to St-Luc via the Col du Pas de Boeuf to complete a magnificent day-long loop (3 hours—difficult).
