Useful information

Departure from the upper part of the village of Grimentz. Leave your car in the village, paid parking, take the free shuttles that go to the Amis de la Nature.
From the bus stop Route de Beauregard, take the forest road and follow the marked path crossing the clearings to then reach the Avoin forest. Next is a climb of about one hundred meters in elevation through the forest (crampons recommended). A short detour recommended to the Pierre d’Avoin: this break of about 10 minutes is an opportunity to enjoy a beautiful open view. The walk then continues through the various pastures to Chèquet, then along a dyke, before the final climb to reach the refreshment hut of the Etable du Marais. Once the skis are removed, all that remains is to sit back on a deck chair and savor the view of the Moiry Dam and the surrounding 4000m peaks.
