The Via Ferrata is located near the Navizence gorge under the Niouc suspension bridge. The Via Ferrata route itself is about 450 meters long. Since the Via Ferrata is located in a fairly exposed area, the access and exit paths will also be fixed with cables to make them safer.
OUR ADVICE
Given its D+ rating, it is not recommended to do this Via Ferrata if you have never practiced one before.
| Useful information | After a first climb starting slightly to the right along a crack, a vertical climb on the face is proposed. Then the route takes the climbers on a long traverse to the left along a ledge. Towards the end of the route, some passages present overhanging aspects. After passing under the bridge, a climb with some steps allows you to exit the face. Once the Via Ferrata is finished, it is possible to reach the plain towards Chippis on foot by crossing the bridge (crossing 5 CHF), or via Niouc. It is also possible to reach Sierre by bus from Niouc. | |
