| Useful information | Follow the cantonal road towards Ayer/Zinal, then fairly quickly take the alley on the left that leads to the upper part of the village, up to the torrent des Moulins. Cross the torrent and join the small dirt path on the left. Cross the Rotzec road and continue on the same small path. Once at the small alpine pastures of the Tenda, cross the small wooden bridge of the old bisse and continue to the paved St-Luc/Ayer road. Follow the road for about a hundred meters, then take the forest road on the left. Continue following the signs Gillou/Hôtel Weisshorn. Once at the summit of the Gillou d’en Haut clearing, descend about 100 m to the left to see the geographic center of Valais (balance point), where the flag flies on the larch pole. Another hour of climbing will finally lead you to the mythical Hôtel Weisshorn. |
