Two options are available for the start of the hike.
- You can start from Marmot Square, then take the fairly steep path that ascends behind the Maison Bourgeoisiale. Then turn left onto the dirt road followed by the small path that climbs steeply towards Pierre des Sauvages.
- To avoid the steep initial climb, you can start from the bus stop at the Forêt parking lot, then continue along Chemin de la Fortuna to the first chalets above the village, then after the second chalet on your left, take left the path that climbs, then right onto the path leading to Pierre des Sauvages.
Continue on the path to the junction, then follow Chemin du Bisse to the right. You find yourself above the village, between forest and pastures, clear water and colorful flora, larch benches and wild strawberries, all to please families! It is possible to descend back to the village of St-Luc several times in case of sudden fatigue.
