Zinal - Petit Mountet Cabin No. 5

Walk along the Navisence on either bank. Once you reach the bottom of the Plats de la Lée, take the small forest road that climbs to the right, offering a beautiful view of the waterfalls. Continue on to the Cabane du Petit Mountet, which overlooks the Zinal Glacier.

After the first climb of about 15 minutes, take the trail that branches off to the right, before the old Vichiesso cellar. This trail leads to the cabin through the forest. A pleasant option, whether going up or down, that allows you to complete a loop (45 min—moderate to difficult, due to some slippery sections, including areas requiring chains).

Take the trail leading to the Lée mountain pasture starting from the Cabane du Petit Mountet (45 min – easy). Enjoy the panoramic view and
, descend via the fairly steep trail that joins the path to Zinal near the old Vichiesso cellar (1 hr 10 min – moderate).
