Ayer - Didactic path Zau Zoura no. 17

Located in the forest upstream from the village of Ayer, it allows you to discover the ecosystem between the village and the mayen, as well as the integration of humans into the environment thanks to didactic panels. A 6 km route, from the old village of Ayer to the mayen des Moyes, is dotted with stations explaining what can be observed. Experts from all fields — sociology, botany, agriculture, or geology — explain the hidden curiosities of the landscape. A short text summarizes each station, which can be viewed online in text or audio. An expert mode allows the curious to find details such as bibliographies, maps, and local references.

Useful information

The route starts at the village square of Ayer. The introduction is considered station 0, and the route ends at the old range after station 15.
Climb to the forest edge near the stream (15 minutes), then follow the forest path for about 30 minutes to the Nava road. Continue north for about a hundred meters, then take the new footpath leading to the mayens des Moyes. Descend towards the Nava road, follow the path near the mayens des Frayés to the road, then continue south to the terminus. Return to the village along the Cow path.
Variant 1
Follow the same route to the Nava road, then take the forest road south. Once at the end of the path, take the Cow path which leads back to the village. A shorter variant (2h30 walking time without stops at the stations – easy).
