This pleasant hike, which takes about 2 hours and covers 5.6 km, is not difficult. It will take you from the village of Grimentz to Mottec (or vice versa) through the Morasses Forest. The first part is along the road, so please be careful. After the first 10 minutes, you’ll meander leisurely through the forest.
OUR ADVICE
This hike can be done in either direction. The starting and ending points can therefore be reversed.
You can take the shuttle bus back from Mottec or from Grimentz.

| Useful information | From the bus stop across from the Les Mélèzes restaurant in Grimentz, follow the cantonal road toward Zinal. Once you reach the bridge, continue along the road for about 100 meters, then take the path that branches off to the right into the forest. The trail continues straight ahead to Mottec. From Mottec, you can extend the hike by continuing on foot to Zinal or take a bus back to either Zinal or Grimentz. You can also return to Grimentz via the “Airs” gondola. |
