Sierre > Chandolin, Poste by bus, then St-Luc on foot via Chandolin
From Vissoie, take the bus to Chandolin and get off at the "Chandolin, Poste" stop. The start of the hike is just behind the Tourist Office, in the direction of the Illgraben (Ponchet). Follow this path for about an hour, then turn right to admire this spectacular natural phenomenon, the Illgraben. From the viewpoint, retrace your steps until you reach the 4x4 track. On your left, take the Bisse path up towards the Illhorn hut, where you can enjoy a well-deserved break. Continue towards Saint-Luc, passing the Alpage de Plan Lozier. Follow the path to the Par di Modzes picnic area, then make the final ascent of around 30 minutes to reach the Cabane Bella-Tola.
