Sierre > Chandolin, take the bus to La Poste, then walk to St-Luc via Chandolin
When you arrive at the La Poste bus stop in Chandolin, head toward the Tourist Office. From there, take the path that climbs behind the building toward Ponchet. Follow the forest road for about 1 hour and 15 minutes, then turn right at the bend and take this small path, which will lead you 200 meters further to the Illgraben viewpoint, a geological site unique in Europe. For the return trip, take the forest road and then the Chemin du Bisse; it will lead you to the Illhorn Hut, where you can enjoy a gourmet break. From there, take the trail to the left of the cabin toward the Plan Lozier Alpine Pasture and follow the marked path toward Saint-Luc. Continue to the Pierre des Sauvages, where the descent begins toward the village center and the Place de la Marmotte; pass by the bakery and the Maison Bourgeoisiale. Turn right and head down behind the Maison Bourgeoisiale, then continue straight ahead to the Tourist Office. Across the street, next to the parking lot, a staircase leads down: follow it to the Hôtel Le Beausite.
