Exhibition Ella Maillart "Deuxième Choix"

Unipop Anniviers presents the photo exhibition by Ella Maillart, "Deuxième Choix – Encountering Another Perspective", at the Tour d’Anniviers.

Exhibition of a series of photos donated by Ella Maillart to Unipop Anniviers.

In 1996, Ella Maillart gifted Unipop Anniviers a set of "second choice" slides after her first lecture in the valley: "From Peking to India". Long forgotten in boxes, these 1,600 color and black-and-white images reveal surprising and iconic shots from her guided trips in India and Nepal between 1956 and 1988, as well as from her legendary 1935 journey from Peking to Kashmir.

For the first time, these photos are exhibited in Anniviers, honoring this unique woman and her legacy to Unipop.
