Speaker: Amédée Zryd, glaciologist, physicist at EPFL, PhD in Natural Sciences from ETHZ, president of the foundation “La Maison des Alpes” in the Val d’Hérens.

Description: A lively look at the evolution of glaciers from the last major glaciation to the present day. Highlights how they have shaped mountain life, landscapes, and Alpine societies. The challenges and risks of their rapid melting are discussed, along with an overview of the major milestones in the development of modern glaciology.

A friendly reception will be offered by AnniviersR2, the association of secondary residence owners in Anniviers.
