Discover the history of Fang with a local resident
Would you like to explore a tiny and lovely village?
Guided tour by Bernard Faust.
An important crossroads of several routes over the centuries, later practically deserted, this village’s residents have ensured its rebirth. Explore some out-of-the-way places, witnesses to the valley’s way of life. The chapel and a tiny museum in a house; the mill and the bisse (irrigation channel); the hayloft, the raccard (wheat store) and the communal oven – all important testimony to a bygone era.
Did you know that the site of Tiébagette, just outside Fang, is a location for serious archaeological research? The site is presented on request by Yvonne Jollien.
Enjoy exploring the past and present history of Fang in the company of passionate local residents who really enjoys sharing their knowledge of village with visitors.
