Discover this mysterious cup-marked block located in the forest above st-Luc.
This stone is part of those phenomena whose meaning still eludes us. Commonly known as “Pierre des Sauvages” (“Wild men’s rock”), it is located above St-Luc at 1714 meters altitude. More than 300 cups (small hollows) of different shapes and sizes have been carved into the surface of this gneiss block.
It is known as the largest cup-marked stone recorded in Switzerland.
