The farm trail takes walkers through a low-altitude landscape that has been shaped by traditional agricultural practices. Behind it lies a set of specifically rural values.
Coming from the village of Chalais, the trail starts at the Chemin des Zamplans, to the south of the maison bourgeoisiale. However, you can also travel along the Chippis-Briey road to l'Arche des Crétillons, where there is a car park, and walk the trail from there.
Take the time to zig-zag a few metres along the steep slope that was once the only route connecting the valley floor with the mountains. Or maybe you would rather sip a glass of chilled wine or some apple juice on the terrace overlooking the valley, with some farm animals for company.
