Take the path that heads upwards towards the Cabane de l’Illhorn. Cross the alpine pasture route (route de l’alpage) and continue, keeping
close to the Illhorn drag lift. When you reach the mountain hut, you are at the upper limit of the forest, in an open and very different environment.
1.
At the meeting point with the route to the alpine pasture, follow that route for a gentler ascent that makes the walk a little longer (30 minutes - easy).

Take the uphill path in the direction of the Cabane de l’Illhorn. At the ski-lift depot, take the path to the left above the village as far as the Grand
Hôtel (Sentier des Dames), then follow the alpine forest track until it meets the Illhorn piste. Continue along the main path or take the alpine pasture road (route de l’alpage) (45 minutes).

Follow Variant 2 then, just before the track meets the piste, turn left in the direction of Pramarin. Once you reach the top of the hamlet, follow the irrigation channel (bisse) as far as the Cabane de l’Illhorn (duration: 1h).
