Sacred Fire and Timeless Stone – From the Castle Chapel to the Mule Forge in Vissoie | Guided tour with Elisabeth Crettaz-Stürzel, art historian, and Jean-Marc Caloz, guide from Vissoie
Daily life between prayers and hammers. From the Counter-Reformation of Baroque chapels to the peasantry of the late Middle Ages in Anniviers (16th-17th century), through a unique mural decoration depicting the tools of a mule blacksmith, which reflects the importance of mules in the past. The Château Chapel, which has overlooked Vissoie since 1688, was built on the ruins of the former castle of the Lords of Anniviers. Visitors will be guided to discover special stone buildings in an environment of wooden construction.
